Marvel, DC and Sony release a total of ten superhero films in one year.Here are all the superhero movies coming out in 2022.
2022 is going to be a huge year for the genre (and for the movie business in general), especially since 2020 hasn't beennone Marvel releases due to the pandemic, and several 2021 releases have been pushed back to next year. As a result, Marvel and DC will release four films each in 2022, and there will also be one from Sony.
Morbius: January 28, 2022
In January 2022, Morbius the Living Vampire will become the second Spider-Man villain to get his own movie. Directed by Daniel EspinozaMorbius plays Jared Leto as a terminally ill scientist who accidentally turns into a monster with a vampire lust for human blood. The story of the Marvel Comics anti-hero will also include Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson and Michael Keaton, who is believed to be reprising his role as the Vulture fromSpider-Man: Homecoming. If it's trueMorbius could establish a connection between Sony Pictures' universe of Marvel characters and the MCU.
Batman: March 4, 2022
Before the coronavirus pandemic"Batman" Matt Reeves was due out in June as the second of three 2021 films. As with other films, this plan was thwarted due to production delays. As a result"Batmanwas pushed back to March 4, making it the first superhero movie of the year. This is sure to be a big deal for DC considering it's the first solo Caped Crusader adventure since Christian Bale's Batman days ended."The Dark Knight Rises" in 2012. This new adaptation of the Bruce Wayne story will introduce the public to Robert Pattinson's Batman. In a film that explores the detective aspects of the character more than other films, Batman will go up against the Riddler.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: March 25, 2022
Benedict Cumberbatch is finally getting his second solo outing as Doctor Strange in 2022, six years after his debut. Also an important role inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness plays Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who has just received her comic powers and costume inwandavision. As usual for Marvel, very little is known about the film's plot, but Nightmare looks set to be the main antagonist. Sam Raimi takes over as director following the departure of Scott Derrickson.
Thor: Love And Thunder: May 6, 2022
Taika Waititi is returning to write and direct this fourth installment in the Thor franchise, making the Asgardian hero the first to receive four solo films in the MCU. Chris Hemsworth is of course back as Thor, Tessa Thompson is back as Valkyrie, and Natalie Portman is properly reprising her role as Jane Foster for the first time sinceThor: The Dark World. VThor: Love and Thunder Jane should become the female counterpart of Thor. Two new characters have joined the group - Zeus (Russell Crowe) and Gorr the Butcher God (Christian Bale), the latter of whom is the film's main villain.
Super Pets: May 20, 2022
DC has an animated movie coming out in 2022:DC Super Pets. DirectorWreck-It-Ralph Co-created by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, the film is expected to focus on super-eating animal accomplices from DC Comics such as Krypto the Super Dog, Streaky the Supercat, Comet the Super Horse, Beppo the Super Monkey and more. However, the official line-up of the team has not been announced, so there are no details about the film yet. The movie could be based on the Legion of Super Pets, a comic book team that debuted in the 1960s, or it could be a widescreen adaptation of a Cartoon Network animated series.Super Pets.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: July 8, 2022
Black Panther broke record after record when it was released in February 2018, and it soon became the fifth MCU film to cross the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.Black Panther remains the most successful MCU film outside of the series "Avengers". Four years after the release of the first film, Marvel will release the highly anticipated "black panther: Wakanda Forever", which is rumored to feature Namor the Sub-Mariner as the villain. Due to the death of the first film's star, Chadwick Boseman, the sequel is expected to focus on other characters that live in Wakanda, not just Black Panther.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2: October 7, 2022
«Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2» performed well at the box office, but most impressive in Sony's animated film"Spidermanwas how well it was received by critics. It even won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, so it's no wonder Sony Pictures continues the Miles Morales story with "Spiderman: Through the Spider-Verse 2". Similar to the first film, it will include several versions of the web, with one of the new additions being the protagonist of the Japanese series "Spiderman" late 1970s.
Flash: November 4, 2022
Flash, which was originally scheduled to release in 2018, now has another release date - and a director. After several directors withdrew from the project due to creative differences, Andy Muschietti took over as director in July.The Flash. Ezra Miller, who previously played Barry Allen in "Batmanvs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League", still playing the role of the Scarlet Speedster. According to earlier posts, "Flash" may be based on the DC Comics crossover,"flash point", the storyline of which Barry rewrote the timeline to save his mother. If so, Flash could be a game changer with huge implications for the DCEU.
Captain Marvel 2: November 11, 2022
Brie Larson's Carol Danvers will dress up and fly into battle inMarvelah, which will be the fourth and final MCU movie to be released next year. As much as opponents would like to believe otherwise,Captain Marvel" became a huge hit both critically and commerciallyplan, and"Marvel" looks set to repeat that success. This time around, the sequel's story will be set in the present day. Another difference is that Carol won't be alone; she will fight alongside the adult Monica Rambeau (who was given powers inwandavision ) and Ms. Marvel, who will be the focus of her own Disney+ show ahead of the film's release.

With the box office taking over $1 billion worldwide, it was obvious that a sequel was coming soon. Two months after the release of Warner Bros. confirmed that a sequel is in development.
