This is a Spanish film that tells the story of a Catholic high school girl who becomes the target of an obsession after becoming fascinated with the occult. Veronica, wonderfully played by Sandra Escacena in her debut film, tries to contact her late father via a ouija board with the help of two of her friends.

Weegee. Curse of the Devil Board (2016)

The story follows Alice (Elizabeth Reaser), a fake medium who deceives people by staging séances with the help of her daughters Doris (Lulu Wilson) and Lina (Annalise Basso).

When Alice adds a ouija board to her charade, she unwittingly comes into contact with a force that young Doris believes to be her late father. Doris becomes the target of an obsession with what has gone through Ouija board, and the film plays out as a very scary possession film and one of the best films in which the Ouija board plays a significant role.

Annie's search leads her to mysteries involving ghostly occurrences, a serial killer, and dark secrets kept in her old home. When Annie's investigation seems to hit a dead end, she turns to a makeshift Ouija board to try and find some answers.

Paranormal Activity (2007)

The film is a combination of hand-held footage and fixed cameras in a house inhabited by a woman who believes she is being personally harassed and her husband who thinks the whole thing is a fun game.

The husband thinks another fun game might be to use the ouija board, but after an argument with his wife, the board was left untouched in the living room. Then, in one of the film's most eerie moments, the board seemingly comes to life on its own while no one is around.

Long Dead: Genie's Revenge (2002)

This well-made British horror film follows a group of college students trying to end a series of deaths after they unleash an evil genie by fiddling with a makeshift Ouija board.

Prison of the Dead (2002)

The story revolves around four people who have gathered for the funeral of their friend. As the twisted plot progresses, the friends learn more and more about the history of the funeral home and the prison.

Halfway through the movie, the friends use a ouija board that brings three prison executioners, Sickle, Mace, and Scythe, back from the dead. The executioners hunt four friends, and the film ends with a series of brutal and gory scenes rewarding the audience.

What lies behind (2000)

Plot: Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer) and her husband Norman (Harrison Ford) feel a presence in the house. Claire has a friend who is a spiritualist, and the two of them use a ouija board in an attempt to contact what Claire is after.

Witchcraft 3: Obsession (1995)

Like the previous film, the story of part 3 is not related to its prequels. In this final installment of the franchise, a demon disguised as a human uses a ouija board to possess a man named Brian (David Nerman).

Brian's wife Julie (Elizabeth Lambert) begins to suspect something is wrong and begins a race against time to save her husband's soul.

Witchboard 2 (1993)

Although this story is not related to the 1987 Witchcraft Board, the second film in the series is similar to the first in that it emphasizes the mystery over supernatural fears.

At Witchboard 2, Paige (Ami Dolenz) finds a Ouija board after moving into a new apartment. The board connects Paige to an entity who calls herself Susan, and their conversations are sweet and funny at first. As Paige learns more about Susan, things take a sinister turn.

Sorority Massacre 2 (1990)

Vfilm Massacre at the Sorority 2» a group of five young women spend the night in a house they recently bought for their sorority. They discover that the house was so cheap because of a series of brutal murders that took place in it.

Before the night is even over, the girls also discover a ouija board in the basement. They use the board, of course, to contact the killer who died at the end of his killing spree, and then, of course, the women start dying in violent ways.

No Panic (1988)

After Michael (John Michael Bischof) gets a ouija board for his birthday, Michael becomes the prime suspect when his friends start dying in horrific ways.

Michael and his friends unleashed something evil when they tested his new Ouija board, and Michael, having started having visions of murders, is the only person who can stop the carnage.

Witchcraft Board (1987)

Unlike many of the other films on this list, The Witching Board doesn't just use a ouija board as a one-time tool to move the plot forward. Instead, writer/director Kevin S. Tenney intended to use the Ouija board as another character in the film.

The Witchboard stars Tony Kittain as Linda, a woman who is engrossed in talking to the spirit of a boy named David.

The plot unfolds to reveal a number of funny, low-budget murders and some memorable chilling moments, but ultimately the film proves to be as much of a mystery as it is a supernatural horror movie.

Amityville 3-D (1983)

In the film, skeptical journalist John Baxter (Tony Roberts) moves into a haunted Amityville house after being exposed by a medium holding a fake séance in the house. John does not believe in the paranormal, but he and his family begin to experience unexplained events from the moment they move.

Blood of Satan (1978)

In Satan's Blood Married couple Andres and Ana meet another couple, Bruno and Berta, while in town. One thing leads to another, and Andres and Ana end up joining Bruno and Bertha for a séance session at their home.

The decorations in Bruno and Bertha's home indicate a strong interest in the occult, but the extent of their interest is not fully revealed until the speedy session has moved into the sinister category. A trip to visit Andres and Anna is ruined by this, and the couple ends up fighting to keep their lives and their souls intact.

Exorcist (1973)

The film stars Linda Blair as Regan, a 12-year-old girl who is possessed by a demon after being contacted by Captain Howdy. Regan finds Ouija board in the closet, and when she tries to introduce her mother Chris (Ellen Burstyn) to Captain Howdy using the plank, Captain Howdy wants nothing to do with her.
