44 cartoon series of childhood. The best old but not forgotten cartoons 1990-2000

We grew up in the 90s and we had a lot of entertainment. Except of course watching everything that was shown on TV. And there were so many good cartoons. Unlike stupid cartoons these days, kids are forced to watch all sorts of nonsense...

We did our best for you, for the sake of your nostalgic tears, and perhaps you yourself already have children ... So there will be something for them to include! We present you a list of your favorite cartoons from your childhood of the 1990-2000s, old but so dear ..

1. DuckTales

While The Animated Series technically ended in 1990, our kids enjoyed it well into the early 2000s. And damn, it was so good and fun. And you all remember the iconic theme song, right?

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The best fucking animated series, right? I mean, they practically made the turtles look cool. Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello were my goddamn childhood heroes.

These superheroes were the first to make geeks look cool.

Russian translation of the intro, not at all as cool as the original (in my opinion).

3. Samurai Jack

The animated series followed Jack, an unnamed samurai who, after defeating the ultimate evil Aku, was sent to a dystopian future ruled by shape-shifting demons.

The animated series could have been for children, but it was dark. Each episode has you stuck to the edge of your seat as Samurai Jack pursues his goal of going back in time to defeat Aku again to prevent this future.

4. Batman: The Animated Series

This is the best adaptation of Batman. The animated series sticks to the Dark Knight from the comics, featuring related characters and making you empathize with the villains.

It spoke of some very strong feelings, despite being comical in nature.

A remaster of the animated series about Batman has recently been released in good quality, we recommend that you read it if you want to review the cartoon.

5. Powerpuff Girls

This was probably the first and one of the few television cartoons of the time that began to teach us about feminism.

Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom were sweet girls who could be fierce warriors when the situation called for it.

6. Johnny Bravo

Before the Barney Stinsons, there was Johnny Bravo in the world, a rough, muscular young man who tried to get women to date him, often without success.

For most of us, The Animated Series was our first taste of adult humor with pop culture references.

7. Quick response cats

After being discharged from the Enforcers, Agents Jake "Razor" Clawson and Chance "T-Bone" now patrol Megacat City as Special Forces, protecting it from all threats.

Among their enemies are the Dark Cat, the undead wizard Pastmaster, the evil genius Doctor Viper, and the robotic gangsters of Metallicata.

9. Oh, these kids

The animated series focuses on a group of babies, namely Tommy, Chucky, Phil, Lil, and Angelica, and their daily lives, sharing common life experiences from the point of view of, well, babies.

10 Dexter's Laboratory

It doesn't even require an explanation. The animated series was so popular that even children born after the 90s once watched it.

Dexter was a genius and Dee Dee was a pain in the ass. So even if you're in your 20s and haven't watched it, start downloading it.

11. Naughty animations

The Warner siblings, among other characters, lived in Burbank, California. At the same time, they all had episodes in different places and in different periods of time, often interacting with famous people and creators of the past and present.

Throw in mythological characters and pop culture icons and you have a stunning spectacle.

The horror comedy series features Courage, a pink anthropomorphic dog who lives with an elderly couple.

In each episode, the trio go through a series of bizarre misadventures with the supernatural.

13. X-Men

Unlike the X-Men movie franchise, in this series we got to know what the X-Men were supposed to be. They were colorful and varied.

The animated series has not shied away from the political themes of the comics, despite never deviating from its superhero activities. My favorite childhood cartoon, on a par with Spider-Man of course!

14. Miracles on bends

The animated series adapted many famous Disney characters and gave them their own universe.

It is based on the adventures of bush pilot Baloo the bear, whose air cargo business, Baloo's Air Service, was ransacked by Rebecca Cunningham after his default on non-payment of bank bills run by the tiger Shere Khan.

16. The Jungle Book (1967)

Of the many adaptations"Jungle Books" Rudyard Kipling, this is considered one of the best. The cartoon was just fun to watch.

We loved watching Mowgli grow up with a pack of wolves, do funny things with Baloo and train with Bagheera.

17. Centurions

In the 21st century lives the evil cyborg scientist Doc Terror, who plans to conquer the Earth and turn its population into slaves.

The animated series was educational and promoted environmentalism and was known for speaking to audiences on environmental, political, and some socio-political issues. It showed viewers how they could be part of the solution and not "pollution".

The animated series needs no introduction. Scooby and the gang use their intelligence, among other detective instincts, to solve mysteries that seem supernatural at first, but there is always a human behind them.

Each of the characters has their own gimmicks, but they work well together and make up the best investigative team in animation history. Did you know Scooby-Doo is from 1976? one of the old childhood cartoons that is impossible not to love!
