10 most famous watch brands

I don't really like shopping, but when it comes down to it, shoes and watches are always on my favorite shopping list, so I decided to write this article. In this article, I will introduce you to 10 of the most famous watchmaker brands. However, the most famous brands don't always make the most expensive watches. It will be a completely different list. For now, just check out these big-name big names. I'm sure you've heard of them before, but now I've compiled all of these companies into one list. This is not a subjective biased rating, but rather a general popular opinion.

1. Casio

Casio is a well-known manufacturer of various electronics. The company was founded in 1957 on June 1 and was originally called "Casio Computer". They manufacture watches, digital cameras, electronic calculators, electronic musical instruments (synthesizers, etc.) and mobile phones. The company employs approximately 12,000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. I'm sure you've heard of the Edifice series. She is popular among both teenagers and middle-aged people, because she is quite good. Plus, you probably know the G-Shock watch. I'm not a huge fan of them, but anyway, this is one of the most famous brands among people under the age of thirty.

2. TAG HEUER

The company was founded in Saint-Imier, Switzerland in 1860 by Edouard Hoyer and is headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. They make sports watches, chronographs and fashion accessories, they even have branded glasses and mobile phones. Their slogan is "Swiss avant-garde since 1860". Most of their watches are dedicated to cars and racing. Recent collections include the Formula 1, Aquaracer, Link, Carrera, Grand Carrera and Monaco series. Just imagine! This is the kind of watch I prefer to wear.

3. SEIKO

Seiko originally traded jewelry, measuring instruments and equipment. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1881, but was incorporated later, in 1917. The headquarters are located in the Minato area, Tokyo, Japan, and the president is Shinji Hattori. They last served as Official Timekeepers at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in the United States.

4. TIMEX

The company was formerly known as Timex Corporation, a subsidiary of Timex Group B.V. The company was founded in 1854 and was then called the Waterbury Clock Company. To be honest, I like the name Waterbury more than Timex. It is headquartered in Middlebury, Connecticut, USA. The company watch has a very interesting slogan: “They will go again, even if they fall”. The idea is pretty obvious in my opinion.

5. CITIZEN

The company was originally founded in 1918 under the name Shokosha Watch Research Institute and renamed Citizen on May 28, 1930. The headquarters are located in Nishitokyo, Tokyo, Japan. They are one of the largest watch manufacturers in the world. I don’t want to offend anyone, but I personally don’t like their watch too much. Plus, I can't even afford a decent watch made by them, and believe that I'm not old enough to wear one. I mostly wear Casio or Swatch.

6. TITAN

It is the world's fifth largest watch manufacturer. The company was founded in 1987 by Ratan Tata and Xerxes Desai and is headquartered in Chennai, India, and was originally an amalgamation of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation and the Tata Group. Patek Philippe is a luxury watch manufacturer. Their watches are popular due to the most complex mechanisms. The company was founded in 1851 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Recently, the company's revenues have exceeded 105 million euros per year, so, as you can imagine, they are doing well. The most expensive watch they have ever made sold for about $ 1.49 million. Their watch is the most beautiful I have ever seen.

8. OAKLEY

Here's what Oakley has to say about their watches: “Watches that inspire Swiss companies to new opportunities, reinforcing the authenticity that has made us a global icon. Genuine innovation brings new technologies to the old world of craftsmanship and creativity, which leads to unexpected results, as well as art, whereby productive tools become objects of desire. Each of our watches is created taking into account traditions and standards, we are inspired by those who live to the limit and measure life in fractions of a second. "

9. OMEGA

Omega is a Swiss watch company. These watches are among the most popular all over the world. In 1917, the Royal Flying Corps of Great Britain chose Omega as their official timekeepers, which is in fact a great honor. In 1918, the American army followed suit. Omega is also the first watch to be on the moon. The company was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt. It is a subsidiary of the Swatch Group headquartered in Bienne, Switzerland. Just so you know, James Bond has been wearing Omega watches in films since 1995.
