Contagion (2011)

In early 2020 and throughout 2021, Steven Spielberg's Contagion gained new popularity due to its association with pandemic Covid-19. Impossible (2012)

Film "The Impossible" based on real events. Tells the story of a Spanish family who survived the Asian tsunami 2004. The film follows Henry (Ewan McGregor) and Maria (Naomi Watts), a British couple who travel to a luxury resort in Thailand for the Christmas holidays. They have three children: teenager Lucas (Tom Holland) and two younger boys. On December 26, 2004, while the family was playing by the pool, a powerful tsunami hit the area, sweeping thousands of people into the ocean. Maria survives, but is seriously injured. She finds her eldest son, Lucas, and together they try to overcome difficulties together.

Shelter (2011)

What if the end of the world is coming and you were the only one who knew? Curtis LaForch (Michael Shannon) has a premonition of what is about to happen. If there's one action movie star you want to have by your side during a disaster, it's definitely Dwayne Johnson. He plays a helicopter rescue and search officer who is always ready to save the day. When there is a massive earthquake in California, he goes on a mission to save his daughter.

This movie is another big blockbuster filled with scenes of mass destruction. If you're into that kind of entertainment, this movie won't disappoint, even if it's fast-paced and loose-handed with the science of the situation.

Trap (2019)

It was somewhat overlooked when it came out last year, but Kapkan» one of the funniest movies of 2019. The story is about a young woman who goes to visit her father when a hurricane approaches. She finds him injured in the basement of the house and when she tries to save him they are surrounded by alligators.

Trap- a great combination of a disaster movie and a feature film about creatures. Just when it seems like it can't get any worse, that's the way it is. The film is a non-stop thrilling adventure with lots of terrifying jumps.

Case of the Brave (2017)

Another true story dedicated to the tragic event of recent memory is the drama about firefighters "The Cause of the Brave». Josh Brolin plays the leader of a group of brave, an elite fire brigade from Granite Mountain who risk their lives to protect their city from hell.

The film only focuses on the destructive flames in the film's final act. Until then, the Cause of the Brave does an excellent job of building a team, their relationships with each other, and their relentless bravery.
