Many will see James Gunn's Suicide Squad as a fun mirror inversion of the writer/director's work with Guardians of the Galaxy. After all, this is another collection of underdog heroes who overcome all obstacles to defeat an interstellar enemy.

Former from the other world

Release date: February 19, 2021, Comedy available for online viewing[Comedy already out]

Cast: Dan Stevens, Isla Fisher, Leslie Mann, Judi Dench, Aimee-Fion Edwards, Michelle Dotrice

A person uses the environment to kick-start their writer's decline. The medium accidentally summons the dead wife. New living wiferage. Dan Stevens has picked some really interesting roles lately and was the top contenderEurovision Song Contestso hopefully he's found his niche as a comic book lead. And Mann and Fischer are always welcome, so this promises to be a kind of OTT, a strange love triangle. One of the best American comedies of 2021.

Swindler

Release date: February 19, 2021, Comedy available for online viewing[Comedy already out]

Cast: Rosamund Pike, Peter Dinklage, Eiza Gonzalez, Diane Wiest, Chris Messina

May be,this is the most controversial “funniest” foreign film of 2021? Basically, there's nothing in-between: you either love-hate Pike because her character deceives older people, or you just hate her. That's the definition of black comedy, and it's not for everyone, but Vanishing is disgusting to perfection. The film is definitely one of the Top Comedies of 2021.

Cruella

Release date: May 28, 2021

Cast: Emma Stone, Mark Strong, Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Houser, Kirby Howell-Baptiste

"I was born different, born bad and a little crazy." And with that, the one-of-a-kind Cruella DeVille gets its backstory. Dog-wearing fashion designer, definitelylooks stylish and sexy thanks to Stone, but I think what intrigued me the most was how we're supposed to root for her?? Thompson and Strong look like they're munching on the landscape like crazy, so come get the A-list stars who give it 110 percent. One of the best family topscomedies 2021.

Take French leave

Release date: February 12, 2021 (TBC)[Comedy already out]

Cast: Michelle Pfeiffer, Lucas Hedges, Danielle MacDonald, Imogen Poots, Tracey Letts, Valerie Mahaffy

Razor-sharp book by Patrick DeWitt has been compared to a kind of "transatlantic stalleddevelopment". In the center is Frances - Pfeiffer has obviously never been better - whose extravagant days of social life are behind her. She faces poverty in Paris along with an eclectic cast of characters. This dialogue is worth reading and keeping a close eye on the most witty dialogue. (Pay attention to content warnings if it's important to you, because it makes a dark comedy "dark".)

Thunder power

Release date: April 9, 2021

Cast: Octavia Spencer, Melissa McCarthy, Bobby Cannavale, Ben Falcone, Jason Bateman, Pom Klementieff, Kevin Dunn, Melissa Leo, Melissa Ponzio

Oooh, Spencer and McCarthy were the duo I didn't know what I needed. Emily (Spencer) has invented a serum that gives people superpowers, and her best friend Lydia (McCarthy) accidentally takes it. The two turn into an unlikely crime-fighting duo against the King (Cannavale, who did a great job of poking fun at McCarthy in "Espionage"). Falcone, McCarthy's real-life husband, is in charge; Hopefully after a few misses includingTammy andsuperintelligence, it's the perfect car for everyone involved.

To all the boys 3: With love...

Release date: February 12, 2021 Comedy available for online viewing[Comedy already out]

Cast: Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Janel Parrish, Anna Cathcart, John Corbett

The first two installments were super sweet, and while I'm in the "Lara should have chosen John Ambrose" camp, it's still the sweet finale to the saga we all need. I appreciate that for an 18 year old to go to college with her boyfriend and live happily ever after is the most important decision of all time, but as an older person I can still appreciate the sweetness of this movie.

Little Beautiful Things Map

Release date: February 12, 2021 Comedy available for online viewing[Comedy already out]

Cast: Kathryn Newton, Kyle Allen, Josh Hamilton, Jorja Fox, Jermaine Harris, Anna Mikami

if youlove palm springs, as it should be, then you will want to try this movie. Two teenagers are caught in an endless time loop and they need to figure out why and how to get out of it. Problem inthis movie about time travel is that the girl (Newton) might still not want to break the loop. Time travel love stories are always interesting, and this one is like a golden teenage romantic comedy.

Barb and Star go to Vista del Mar

Release date: February 12, 2021 Comedy available for online viewing[Comedy already out]

Cast: Kristen Wiig, Annie Mumolo, Jamie Dornan, Damon Wayans Jr., Rain Doi, Vanessa Baier

This movie shouldn't work - it's about two friends (Wiig and Mumolo) who go on vacation while a supervillain (also Vig) plans to destroy the city because they... made fun of her when she was a kid? Some film critics hate, hate, hate this movie with a passion. But far more of them loved the cuteness, the banter, the fact that these two women were living in their own world of pure joy. I am in the second camp and I recommend it to everyone.

Willie's Wonderland

Release date: February 12, 2021 Comedy available for online viewing[Comedy already out]

Cast: Nicolas Cage, Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, David Sheftell, Rick Reitz, Chris Warner, Kai Kadlec, Kaylie Cowen

As silly as it was, Nicolas Cage was the PERFECT cast. He's an almost wordless hero(?) tasked with cleaning up a "family entertainment center" a la Chuck E. Cheese in exchange for the owner fixing his car. Only instead of the animatronics jumping into song, they are trying to kill you. Cage's character tries to kill them first - it's grossly ridiculous with a slasher feel. A good comedy with Nicholas, by the way, is already available for viewing online!

Spongebob on the run

Release date: March 4, 2021, now available online[Comedy already out]

Cast: Tom Kenny, Antonio Raul Corbo, Bill Fagerbakke, Jack Gore, Roger Bumpas, Aquafina, Clancy Brown, Keanu Reeves

SpongeBob loses his meowing snail Gary and must find him. That's the whole movie, but honestly, who needs anything else? With the wacky shenanigans going on, the most interesting thing is in the voice cast: Aquafina, Brown, Reeves (!), as well as the goofy gags that work for adults and kids alike.

Lockdown

Release date: January 14, 2021 Comedy is available to watch online[Comedy already out]

Cast: Anne Hathaway, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Stephen Merchant, Mindy Kaling, Lucy Boynton, Dule Hill, Jazmine Simon

We knew there would be some quarantine movies, but this one has quite a bit of star power with Ejiofor and Hathaway as a couple so close to divorce when COVID-19 hits. Stuck at home for what seems like an eternity (ugh), they hatch a plan to solve their financial problems...and perhaps rediscover what they liked about each other first. It's not exactly a heist movie, but without the theft of a multi-million dollar diamond, it's completely believable.

Fortunately

Release date: March 19, 2021

Cast: Joel McHale, Kerry Bishé, Stephen Root, Natalie Zee, Paul Scheer, Natalie Morales, Kirby Howell-Baptiste

McHale mastered the equanimity in "Community" and has now moved on to more creepy humor in "Happiness". The married couple have a perfect relationship and their friends hate them for it. The mysterious stranger offers some kind of "correction" - and, as in"Shine"everything is going very badly. There are some very funny people in it, so let's hope for laughter next to the blood spatter.

Raya and the last dragon

Release date: March 5, 2021 Comedy available for online viewing [Comedy already out]

Cast: Kelly Marie Tran, Aquafina, Gemma Chan, Isaac Wang, Daniel Dae Kim, Sandra Oh, Benedict Wong, Lucille Sun

Hello Kelly Marie Tran. There's a lot going on in this film - a great fantasy vision, a powerful cast of predominantly Asian-Americans, a massive epic story - but it's essentially a comedy between Raya (Tran) and Sisu (Awkwafina).

Ghostbusters: Descendants

Release date: June 11, 2021

Cast: Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Sigourney Weaver, Paul Rudd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd

Does Egon have grandchildren?? This second attempt at the reboot, which has finally been released after many delays due to COVID, is fueled by a lot of nostalgia for the original. Paul Rudd, who showed that withAnt-Man he can do serious and funnythings, here to teach a new generation of kids about ghost traps and proton packs.

French Herald. Supplement to the newspaper "Liberty. Kansas Evening Sun"

Release date: TBD, 2021

Cast: Benicio del Toro, Bill Murray, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand

This long-delayed Wes Anderson movie has a typically packed cast of characters who work for a newspaper in 20th-century France. The machinations of Anderson and Esuke follow. I basically watch Chalame and Wright in anything and this is another movie that I've been looking forward to after a lot of delays.

Zola / Zola

Release date: June 30, 2021

Cast: Taylor Page, Riley Keough, Nicholas Brown, Ariel Stajel, Colman Domingo, Jason Mitchell, Nelsi Suffrant, Nasir Rahim

Zola (Paige) hooks up with fellow pole dancer Stephanie (Keo), both strippers if anyone didn't get it, and they both decide to go on a trip to Florida with Stephanie's pimp and boyfriend. What can go wrong?Everything.

The Starling

Release date: TBD, 2021

Cast: Melissa McCarthy, Kevin Kline, Chris O'Dowd, Timothy Olyphant

Netflix paid $20 million for it, so that's probably an encouraging sign. A grieving woman (McCarthy) separates from her husband and turns to gardening until a large starling in a nearby tree... goes berserk and starts trying to kill her? The shenanigans that follow and her attempts to get rid of the bird with the help of a veterinarian (Cline) lead to a probably ridiculous plot.

I am made for you

Release date: TBD, 2021

Cast: Maren Eggert, Dan Stevens, Sandra Hüller, Hans Löw

Stevens appears on this list for the second time when he speaks German (and hesomething bad?) In this look at modern love. The researcher reluctantly agrees to take part in an experiment in which she lives with an android (Stevens), whose sole purpose in life is to make her happy. Yes please? Judging by the commercials, it promises to be equally creepy and funny.

I want you back

Release date: TBD, 2021

Cast: Jenny Slate, Charlie Day, Manny Jacinto, Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood

Slate and Day play abandoned exes who are afraid to die alone and come up with a plan to get back with their exes (their plan is to fake each other, right? I can feel it!!). With Jacinto, Rodriguez and Eastwood, it promises to be a lot of hot people falling in love and tearing each other up. inside.

Spiderman: No Way Home

Release date: December 17, 2021

Cast: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Marisa Tomei, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Jacob Batalon

One of the more underrated aspects of some Marvel films is their sense of humor (see also:Thor: Ragnarok, mostly Chris Hemsworth performing stand-up). VSpider Man the films would benefit from this, as well as Holland's hilarious seriousness in their delivery. No spoilers, but the second film's ending takes the story in a new direction, which should help it feel fresh.
