harem anime is currently one of the most popular anime genres; and it is not only popular but also unique in the Japanese media industry as you will not find this genre in the Western media industry. So what does harem anime series so popular?
I'm not exactly a big fan of this genre because the series and the story repeats after a certain amount of time, but that doesn't mean there aren't good anime to watch. In fact, there are quite a few harem series that you will enjoy; It's just that the sheer number of anime, most of which are rubbish, makes it hard for a novice anime watcher to find the right titles to watch. And that's why I created this list; to give you guys some anime recommendations if you're interested in the harem genre.
21. Monster Musume: Everyday life with monster girls
This series is the perfect introduction to harem genre. It has an incredible amount of ecchi perversions, but the way ecchi is portrayed here is unique. The plot of the play is simple. It's about a fantasy society in Japan where people have discovered fantastic creatures called "Liminals". These liminals are encouraged to live with humans under an exchange system, but they must not harm each other or have children together.
The protagonist, Kimihito Kurusu, does not want to participate in this exchange program, but was forced to do so when he was mistakenly assigned a Lamia named Miya. But it didn't end there because it was just the beginning as more and more monster girls started showing up in his house and he had to take care of them all. All these liminals love the protagonist and compete for his affection. His home turned into a harem, and as if that wasn't enough, other Portuguese began to feel attracted too.
20. Is it a zombie?
That's right, this show is absurd and a comedy of extreme proportions. Why? Well, there's a vampire ninja that can walk on the sun. The anime combines quantity and themes, with ecchi and harem taking center stage, and there are many ecchi scenes in this series.
In this anime, you will meet Ayuma Aikawa, a 16 year old student who was killed and resurrected by a necromancer. Zombie Ayumu attempts to investigate his own murder and mistakenly receives magical powers from a female monster hunter when she attempts to erase his memories. 19. Arifureta: from the banal to the most powerful in the world
I have to tell you that the anime doesn't do justice to the manga and that's sad. This anime is about Hajime Nagumo, a 17-year-old otaku, and his classmates who are called to another world where they are tasked with saving humanity. Unfortunately Hajime is not as strong as his classmates and they ridicule and betray him and he ends up falling to his death during a mission.
However, Hajime survives the fall, but he faces dangerous monsters on every corner and it confuses him and now the only thing he thinks about is getting stronger and surviving; and he does it. The anime might be a poor adaptation of the manga, but it has some cute moments and lots of ecchi scenes and is a good contender if you want to. watch harem anime series!
18. Maken-Key!
The protagonist here, Takeru Ooyama, is not shy. In particular, he loves girls and boobies and does not hide it at all. Lust Takeru should be seen as a magical power. If you don't mind extreme anime perversions, grab some popcorn and dive into juicy anime boobies. I mean it literally because you will see so many boobie oriented ecchi that you will be drooling. Unfortunately, the focus on boobies has caused this anime to veer off course, and it hurts because it has an appealing concept.

The school turned out to be larger as it was a school for teaching magicians the use of elements and makens (magical weapons). Students hone their skills in battles organized by the school. Although Takeru doesn't have a Maken and can't use the elements, he is still loved by women who can't seem to get enough of him and thus has his own little harem of comfort.
17. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches
This show is about a criminal who tries to turn a new leaf by going to a new school, but finds it difficult. Being a good boy is boring for him, but his life changed when he accidentally kissed a girl and swapped bodies with her.
He later discovered that there are witches in his school and their powers can only be activated by the power of a kiss. Interestingly, this anime harem has a decent amount of ecchi, but it perfectly captures the harem genre without much absurdity. I have to say, definitely check it out!
16. Masu Gakuen HxH
Ecchi, more ecchi and ecchi forever. Here, the protagonist, Hida Kizuna, has a female harem because performing erotic acts with him enhances the abilities of other girls. For context, in the series, aliens have invaded Earth and humans can fight off the invaders using the HHG built into them. Hida Kizuna does not have significant powers on his own, but his powers can enhance other people's own powers if he does something erotic with them.
The catch is that this erotic act is the key to saving these ladies' lives and can only be used during combat. Kizuna has a life that revolves around sexual intimacy. Is he lucky or will he be embarrassed all the time? You will need to watch the show to be sure!
15. Familiar of Zero
The content of the harem in this anime is not absurd. It makes the series a bit interesting. The heroine is from a prestigious magical family, but she has no magical skills. 13. Haganai: I don't have many friends
It's a harem show about a group of socially awkward students who form a club to deal with their inability to socialize due to society's stereotypes. The protagonist, Kodaka Hasegawa, transfers to a new school, where he immediately earns a reputation as a delinquent due to his appearance and facial hardness, which prevents him from making friends. But everything changes when he finds Yozora Mikazuki, who turns out to be his loner comrade, and together they create a kind of club for people who have no friends.
The anime has a lot of funny moments, but it still manages to convey the message that you don't have to be the other person to make friends. There will always be people who love you for who you are.
12. Rosario Vampire

9.IS: Infinite Stratos.
This anime should have been called IS: Infinite Harem because it makes so much more sense! The show tells the story of a 15-year-old teenager who is the only male who can pilot a mechanical suit that only women can pilot. This means that the boy must enter the Infinite Stratos Academy, which, as it turns out, is a boarding school for girls!
As expected, our main characters become a sensation among the girls and he has a lot of moments when he goes to change girls and he has all sorts of awkward moments. It may be too much for a young man with raging hormones, but people like us will definitely enjoy watching.

Not the entire harem has to be filled with girls as this anime show focuses on a girl who suddenly finds herself becoming part of a high school host club filled with boys. Unlike all students at Ouran Academy, Haruhi is just a scholarship candidate with no rank or title; and she's not even rich like all her classmates. She just wants to study hard, but everything changes when she stumbles upon the Host Club, run by handsome academy boys who have way too much free time.
Join Haruhi Fujioka, a tomboy who gets a scholarship to an elite school and has to become some rich boys' errand boy when she accidentally breaks an expensive vase.
5. Sekirei
