How to use Animoji on iPhone X?

Tags: iphone

Animoji is a new feature that is currently only available on the iPhone X. The technology required for Animoji is really interesting. For now, you can animate different characters in ten-second videos and send them to your friends. You can be a unicorn, a panda, a chicken, etc. Animoji automatically repeats your facial expressions, head turns. With Animoji, you essentially bring your emoji to life.

How to use Animodji (animoji) on iPhone X

  • Open the Messages app and open an existing message.
  • At the very bottom, you'll see small ovals with different options and message attachments. Find the oval with the help of the small frenzied monkey and click on it.
  • If you don't see options at the bottom of the screen, tap the App Store "A" icon, then select the oval icon that has a screaming monkey on it.

  • You should now be on the Animoji screen in Messages.
  • In the left column, you can scroll through different emoji. Choose one.
  • Hold iPhone in front of your face. When you move your face or change facial expressions, Animoji's face automatically follows you.
  • To record, click the red circle next to the Animoji symbol.
  • While recording, you can talk, sing and make faces, and watch the Animoji character do the same. Recording will automatically stop after ten seconds.
  • When it stops recording, you can click on the trash can to delete it, the round arrow to play it, or the straight arrow to send it.

  • After you've sent an Animoji, you can press and hold on the Animoji video you sent and tap "Save" to save it to your iPhone. From there, you can share it on social networks or send it to a friend.

Luckily, Animoji recordings are saved as a regular video file. This means you can share them with your friends or post them on social networks even if they have an old iPhone or no iPhone at all.
