The series follows the revenge of Alex Guzman investigating his death, sister Sarah, for which he was wrongfully convicted. After 18 years in prison, Alex pursues the powerful Lazcano family, whom he suspects played a role in Sarah's death. The show has hooked viewers with slow reveals that raise more questions than answers about which Lazcano was involved in Sarah's death. Viewers were blown away by the magnificent setting of the show, which features numerous luxury hotels, clubs and resorts.

Although the interior scenes were mostly filmed on private property, the show fit the lifestyle of wealthy Mexico City residents. If you want to throw a party like Lazcanos, the city has a lot of options - many famous hotels and clubs, as well as over 300 casinos. Also for streaming enthusiasts, Mexico City is also home to the Latin American headquarters of Netflix.

Memories of the lake were filmed in Valle de Bravo.

The show includes several flashbacks to the lakeside weekend when Sarah died as Alex reveals the details of his parasailing accident. These scenes were filmed on Lake Avandaro in Valle de Bravo, a town two hours west of Mexico City.

Cinemaholic suggests that some of these scenes may have been filmed in the coastal city of Acapulco, Mexico's largest beach resort city. Historically, this must-see destination has recently been affected by cartel activity, but recently crime has declined and the city has seen an increase in tourists. The city hosts a Mexican reality show calledAcapulco Shore , the eighth season of which will be released in April.
