TOP 5 New Year's horror films

Each has its own tradition of celebrating the New Year. Most on this day must watch iconic films, such as "Gentlemen of Fortune" and other "Ivanov Vasilyevich". Maybe you yourself are one of them or are you just looking for something spicy to look at during the holidays? In any case, our cute Christmas hat is definitely not written in vain.

Every director strives to shoot something on the New Year's theme at least once, because this almost guarantees his work a hype at least once a year. And directors of horror films are no exception. So films about the New Year, in which someone cuts someone into pieces, are not as rare as it might seem.

All in all, sit back, here are five of the most classic and epic Christmas-themed horror movies! By the way, you can watch movies for free here.

1. New Year's Evil - 1980

This work is definitely worth your attention on the eve of the winter holidays, if only for the reason that it is one of very few horror films that contains the phrase "New Year" in its title. Director Emmett Allston did a pretty good job for his time.

During the New Years celebrations, the punk rock singer gets a phone call from an unknown maniac and says that every hour remaining until the New Year, he will kill one person - and she will be the last on his list. Intriguing isn't it?

2. Bloody New Year (1987)

Also known as the Horror Hotel.

Five shipwrecked English teenagers take refuge in an island hotel decorated for the New Year. The problem is that it’s early summer, and pretty soon even the walls themselves are trying to kill them ...

3. Train of fear (Terror Train - 1980)

Another worthy slasher from the bygone 80s. Why should some masked killer always ruin the party? This is unknown to science, but the mystical surroundings of New Year's Eve and the maniac killer are two surprisingly combined things. This means that our heroes are again waiting for a big Christmas bummer!

So, the masked killer is targeting six college students who are responsible for a prank not so many years ago and who are currently throwing a big New Years Eve costume party aboard a moving train. Perfect location for a bloody mess, isn't it?

4. Steel trap (2007)

A small group of friends are chased by a killer in yet another trashy New Year's movie. It seems that somewhere we have already heard this ... But let's not be so reprehensible.

As the extravagant celebration takes place on the top floor of an abandoned skyscraper, five different guests receive a mysterious text message inviting them to join this exclusive VIP party on the 27th floor ... Well, what happened next, I think you yourself can guess. Place your bets on which of them will survive!

5. Signal (The Signal - 2007)

Anna (Cherie Christian) is busy organizing a New Years party ... Okay, it might still sound trite, but wait, you definitely won't get bored.

This is a gorgeous horror movie, told from three angles, in which a mysterious signal that turns people into killers penetrates every cell phone, radio and television. Like this!
