Treason is usually a violent and heartbreaking event, and sometimes the deceiver gets hurt too. However, due to adultery Hollywood has produced some very interesting and dramatic films.
However, films about deceit and betrayal are not always about sex. Instead, they can tell every side of the relationship story, what led to the affair, whether it was justified, and what the consequences were. Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson play the role of a loving couple, David and Diana, who are going through hard times and their love for each other is tested in a moment of desperation. Wealthy businessman John (Robert Redford) offers the couple $1 million in exchange for a one-night stand with Diana. After much thought, the couple agrees because they really need the money, however, as the months go by, the knowledge that his wife and John were together drives David crazy, eventually pushing her into John's arms.
The questionable theme of John "buying" Diana for the evening (and only asking David's permission, not hers) has always been criticized, and the film received poor reviews upon release. But "Indecent Proposal" became a hit and to this day is a cautionary tale of desperation and the consequences of one's actions.
9. What lies behind (2000)
In "What lies behind» Harrison Ford plays Norman, whose cases come back to literally haunt him. After noticing some strange occurrences in their home, Norman's wife, Claire (Michelle Pfeiffer), discovers that he had an affair with a woman who died and is now quite possibly haunting their home, leading to darker secrets coming to the surface.
8. Unfaithful (2002)

The film is directed by Adrian Lyne and stars Michael Douglas as Dan, who, despite a happy marriage, finds himself involved in a passionate affair with Alex (Oscar-nominated Glenn Close). However, after Dan puts an end to the affair, Alex won't give up on him, won't be ignored, and starts showing obsessive and dangerous behavior towards him.

Based on the book,Scandal Notes» revolve around Sheeba (Cate Blanchett), a teacher whose affair with a student is discovered by another teacher, Barbara (Judi Dench), who has a history of stalking. Unfortunately, the lonely Barbara uses the secret to her advantage to manipulate Sheba.
Scandal Notes is a tragic story not only about trusting the wrong people, but also about the potentially dire consequences an affair can have on a family and the people involved. Both Blanchett and Dench were nominated for Oscars for their roles.
5. Like small children (2006)
Told through omniscient narration, "Small children" concerns Sarah (Kate Winslet) and Brad (Patrick Wilson) who find themselves in an affair after both were in an unhappy marriage. Sarah, an unhappy housewife, catches the attention of Brad, known as the "Prom King", who is married to a beautiful woman and is experiencing her youth instead of growing up.

4. An Unforgettable Romance (1957)
In "Memorable"the thing is starring movie characters Cary Grant and Deborah Kerrtell about two people who have a torrid romance aboard a cruise ship despite being in a relationship with other people. They plan to meet in six months atop the Empire State Building to continue their romance if they ended their relationship. However, an accident causes one of them to fail to meet, which could end their reunion.

They have a four-day romance while her husband and kids are away. In the end, the novel gives her meaning, and she remembers it for the rest of her life.
Hollywood doesn't have many romantic films about older people, however, "Bridges of Madison County present a mature, grown-up love story for the elderly as well as for the young couples in it for the long haul.
2. Brokeback Mountain (2005)
Often, films about infidelity show how two people get the opportunity to express their passions outside of a boring marriage. However, "Humpback Mountain» depicts a romance in which two people involved become free to be who they really are. Directed by Ang Lee, the film tells the story of Ennis (Heath Ledger) and Jack (Jake Gyllenhaal), two shepherds who, while working together on a ranch one summer, develop feelings for each other and maintain a romantic relationship for 20 years, despite married women.
Triggered by controversy over its subject matter, "Humpback Mountain» laid the groundwork for LGBTQ+ cinema and also undermined the Western genre. In the end, "Humpback Mountain» is a beautiful film visually and emotionally, with a slogan that best sums it up: "Love is a force of nature."
