While it may be a fairly simple story, the voice acting is surprisingly well done and while playing the story, I found myself invested in bringing James back to his family.
Gameplay overall hasn't changed much from the first game, which is more of a blessing than a curse. You will automatically run through a desert filled with zombies, you will need to move left and right to avoid being eaten alive, or tap the screen to fire your weapon.
The addition of a story mode and a more prominent game progress bar gave the zombie shooter runner a breath of fresh air that made it exciting. The visuals and sound are absolutely outstanding, and the game does a great job of setting a tense and creepy tone.
Overall, Into the Dead 2 is a fantastic experience, and whether you're a prequel fan or new to the game, you'll be able to enjoy it for hours on end.

When you run out of matches or move away from the light, the music immediately starts to increase in intensity, your character begins to pant, the screen darkens and shakes, and the strings rise so hard that it seems like the walls are approaching you. . This is a great reminder that the darkness will overtake you if you let it, and force you to strike the match as quickly as possible. I've never come across an iOS game that evokes such a gut reaction in me. In White Night, my heart rate in the cardio zone increased many times.
Not everything is perfect, the story isn't particularly original, and the controls could be tweaked a bit; however, White Light makes up for these shortcomings with stunning visuals and superb sound design. Plus the game is definitely long enough to justify the price tag.
