This 1994 project, starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins, was actually an adaptation of Stephen King's Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. Even though it was a small book, the characters and plot were brought to perfection, resulting in a masterpiece that still captivates audiences around the world.
9. Kill a Mockingbird
It's hard to find someone who isn't familiar with Harper Lee's classic To Kill a Mockingbird, especially in America as it's required reading in high school. Which is not surprising given how amazing a piece of literature it is and the relevant topics it touches on and discusses.
