How to Force Restart or Hard Restart iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max

Three buttons are now responsible for basic functions (volume up, volume down, sleep/wake), as well as turning off the phone, rebooting the phone, entering recovery mode and turning on emergency help.

Note that force restart, hard reset, force reboot mean the same thing, and you will see these phrases used interchangeably.
