6 world reproductions of the Eiffel Tower

Several reproductions of the Eiffel Tower, taken both in earnest and in jest, were inspired by the original outside of the French capital, Paris.

The original Eiffel Tower was designed and built between January 1887 and March 1889 by the company of Gustave Eiffel to be part of the 1889 World Exhibition to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution. The sparkling red cowboy hat was attached to the top in 1998, making it one of the most original in America.

The Texas Eiffel Tower and Tennessee Tower were built in one year and were in constant competition for the title of the highest replica. 5. Tower at the Copenhagen Zoo, Denmark

The replica was unveiled in September 2016 and is one of the main attractions in Macau. The tower is equipped with additional details: gussets, gratings, lamps, staircases, mesh screens, curly cornices and balustrades. The tower has an observation deck from which tourists can enjoy the surroundings of the Cotai Strip.

2. Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas, USA


Just like other cities in America, Las Vegas has its own replica of the Eiffel Tower. The construction of this reproduction put an end to all the who is taller controversy between the towers in Tennessee and Texas. The Las Vegas Eiffel Tower, located on the Las Vegas Strip, is 165 meters high. Being near the airport placed a limit on the size of the tower, thus preventing it from reaching the size of the original.

The reproduction, presented to the public in 1999, is one of the most famous in the world. It is located on the territory of a themed resort and is surrounded by replicas of the Montgolfier brothers balloon, the Arc de Triomphe and the Des Meurs fountain. The Las Vegas Eiffel Tower is the main attraction within the Paris Las Vegas themed casino hotel.

1. Tokyo Tower, Japan


At 334 meters, the Tokyo Tower in Minato is the second tallest structure in Japan. Construction of the observation and communication tower began in 1957 and ended a year later. Painted in orange and white, the structure is restored every 5 years. The tower, being the main attraction, also provides an antenna for broadcasting in Japan. About 3 million visitors annually generate income for the owners of this grand structure, Nyon Denpato.

The tower has over 16 floors served by 4 lifts. Two observation decks are located on the floors: the main one at an altitude of 150 meters and a smaller one at an altitude of 250 meters. Directly below the tower is a four-story building, Foot Town, with a reception hall, an aquarium gallery and three lifts to the tower's main observation deck.
