10 anime with a good gripping storyline

Who doesn't love a good mystery and a twisted plot? As the plot turns, the thrill gets more intense, the furious hate and blaming of a character (who you suspect is the main antagonist) that later turns out to be a red herring. And everything starts all over again, and again you do not understand what is happening ...

For this rating, we selected anime with interesting stories that will keep you guessing until the very end.

I've tried my best to avoid major and minor spoilers, but at the end of the day, I'm just a handsome and charming person, so this is a spoiler alert.

1. Death Note

The adventures of Light Yagami and Lawlit in cat and mouse are the legend of anime at the moment.

I doubt I need to say more about this.

But I'll do it because I'm here to entertain!

There are many twists and turns in this series, with obvious and very literal betrayals, murders, and supernatural powers.

And we all know who the bad guy is and that tells you how good the ride is!

If this doesn't provide a recipe for solving the mystery that will make you wonder why and how, then I don't know what will.

Death Note is a classic for a reason.

2. Monster

It might be an older game, but that leaves no reason to miss out on one of the best mystery/thriller anime adaptations ever made.

I confess, this is not for the faint of heart - blood and bodies galore!

But risk takers reading this will see a show that I thought was so good I watched it three times.even knowing How will this all end!

Bold, brutal and emotional with a twist that will blow your mind. That's how I would describe this anime.

Monster will not only keep you guessing, it will also make you wonder how you didn't foresee it.

3. Perfect blue

A very serious warning for this anime, as there is no need for... well, everything.

And Perfect Blue might be crammed in while watching a movie rather than a series, but that doesn't hold back.

Delving into the behind-the-scenes realms of the acting and music industries, Perfect Blue will keep you guessing and unsettling in equal measure as it unfolds in its terrifying fairy tale narrative.

The film is often cited as an inspiration for Hollywood films.

Satoshi Kon's debut is nothing short of a masterstroke.

It's a tough watch at times (I'd recommend looking at the unrated version's differences to see what's going on).

However, it should not be missed.

4. Higurashi (When they cry)

Here is another anime that builds and unfolds to the final shock action.

Higurashi plays with our minds and makes us think until the final scenes.

This is a high tension material that constantly surprises and pulls you deeper.

Though I think the only thing that makes Higurashi stand out is the animation. It's a little... I guess the scientific term is shonky.

Luckily, Season 2 has gotten a little more pleasing to the eye!

This one has a littleTotal but it's a recurring subtle paranoia and flashback that, while hard to watch, all adds up to an incredibly satisfying conclusion once the pieces fall into place.

5. Jinrui wa Sutai Shimashita (Humanity retreated)

So it's definitely on the list because of its crazy twist at the end.

It's a show that lives on a shiny, happy surface, but it gets deeper and darker the more you watch.

If you didn't guess from the title, the world really is over - and we are in for some very funny events taking place outside of it.

There's a thick streak of social commentary that works too, and often goes hand in hand with laughter.

But it's the finale that brings everything home. And while the questions that lead to this have piled up over time, the show takes a few minutes toit's all open wide.

I strongly recommend viewing!

6. Hyoka

Here's a slightly different take on the mystery series, as this slice of life anime may be slow, but it's an enjoyable watch.

Hyoka follows the adventures of a school research club embroiled in a mystery involving ancient evil and mysterious old books.

The show doesn't speed up - in fact, sometimes the pace seems to falter because of the responses.

But there's enough here to keep the suspense alive in romantic and narrative plots.

If you like your secret less gory, Hyoka might be the perfect show for you.

7. Denpa teki na Kanojo (Electromagnet Girlfriend)

It would be forgivable if you thought that this is not really a murder mystery series, judging by the posters and the title.

But despite the fact that there are elements of romance here, guessing games are in the spotlight here!

Past life visitors, a character who only wants to be left alone, and the aforementioned murder all wrap around each other to create a situation where things are definitely not what we expected.

Oh, and there's a twist too!

But with all that said (and no spoilers), Electromagnetic Girlfriend has proven itself to be a show that's much more than meets the eye - and well worth it.

8. Resonant terror

A detective thriller from the creator of Cowboy Bebop?

Consider me immediately!

Although there are no space cowboys in sight, we are treated to a fantastic romp through modern (at the time!) Tokyo, where the terrorists have left clues to their motives and identities.

At the same time, a second mysterious organization is engaged in even more mysterious (and possibly ending in peace) things.

These are riddles on top of riddles.

And it feels like a real race against time, with lots of twists and turns that keep you thrilling and throwing balls all the way to the very end.

There is only one season, which is a shame. But what we get is worth it.

9. Paprika

Satoshi Kon is back and he's inspiring more Hollywood movies!

Yes, the icy mega-blockbuster Inception borrowed from Paprika. And when you watch it, you will understand why it was an easy choice.

In other words, paprikastunning.

Completely stunning? Yes.

Partially inexplicable? Also yes.

But that's the point of the article, right?

I watched this movie ten years ago and I still wonder!

It's wall-to-wall madness, jumping through dream states, and weird reality-warping antics that I guarantee will make you think, "Huh?" at some point.

Look for it if you haven't seen it yet.

10. Series “Monogatari”: the second season

While the first season of Monogatari (Bakemonogatari) has its fair share of mystery, it's the second season that really turns it into the mystery genre - and plays with it completely.

Supernatural mysteries lurk throughout Monogatari, and each episode offers little brain exercises that lead to the ultimate missing person mystery.

There are also many good comments in the narrative about how mysteries and problems cannot always be solved with physical strength alone.

While it's a bit of fan service per section, it's,without a doubt, the strongest season in the entire series.

Maybe watch the first one to acclimatize, but whether you like that first season or not, I highly recommend you try this one as well.
