3 ways to save image from instagram

This article will show you how to save an Instagram image to your phone or computer. While there is no option to save photos from the Instagram app or website, there are third-party sites and apps you can use to fetch and download photos on desktop, iPhone, and Android platforms.

There are 3 ways:

  1. For a computer - "DownloadGram"
  2. For iPhone - "Grablt" (instaget).
  3. For android - "BatchSave".

Using Downloadgram on instagram web

1. Open the DownloadGram website.

Go to downloadgram.com (Russian-language analogue of instagrab.ru). You can download photos from Instagram using this site.
2. Open Instagram in a new tab.
Click the "New Tab" icon to the right of the DownloadGram bookmark, and then go to instagram.com, you will be taken to your account, if you are logged in of course.

  • If you are not already signed in to Instagram, you will need to enter your username and password to login before proceeding.

3. Find the image you want to download.

Find the image in the news feed that you want to download or go to the person's profile if you have already chosen what interests you.

  • To go to a person's profile, click the Search text bar at the top of the Instagram page, enter the user's name, and click their profile in the drop-down menu.

4. Click on the publication date.

It is located before the comment input field. In the screenshot above, it is highlighted with a red rectangle and an arrow.

  • If you are on someone's profile, first click on the image you want to upload and then on the date.

By clicking on it, you will be taken to a page with a photo.

6. Copy the URL of the image.

Click on the address bar at the top of your browser window to highlight its contents, then clickCtrl+C (Windows) or⌘ Command+C (Mac) to copy it.

7. Return to the DownloadGram tab.

Go to the previously opened DownloadGram tab.

8. Paste URL.

Click on the search bar in the middle of the page, then clickCtrl+V (Windows) or⌘ Command+V (Mac). You need to make sure that the web address of the Instagram image page appears in the search bar.

9. Click Download.

It's a grayish transparent button below the search bar.

10. Click "Upload Image" when prompted.

This green button will appear below the original "Download" ... Clicking on it will tell you how to download the Instagram photo to your computer according to your browser's preferred download folder.

  • In some browsers, you will need to select a download folder and click “Save" or "OK", to upload a photo.

Downloading with InstaGet on iPhone

1. Download InstaGet App.

Open iPhone =>App Storeand then follow these steps:

  • Click onSearch
  • Click the search bar.
  • Entergrablt or instaget to the search bar.
  • Click onSearch
  • Click on Downloadto the right of the GrabIt application.
  • Enter your Apple ID or Touch ID when prompted.

2. Open Grablt (InstaGet).

Click on Opennext to the app icon in the App Store, or tap the Grablt app icon (InstaGet) on the iPhone home screen.

3. Log into your Instagram account.
Enter your Instagram username and password, then click “Login».

4. Push ☰.He (the so-called hamburger) is in the upper left corner of the screen. A menu will appear.

5. Click Search.You will find this option in the middle of the menu.

6. Click the search bar.It's at the top of the screen.


7. Enter your username.

Enter the name of the account you want to download the image from, then click "Search».

8. Click a user account.

It should be a link in this SERP. This will take you to the Instagram page of the user you want.

9. Find the photo you want to download.

Scroll through the account page until you find the photo you want to download.

10. Click the Download arrow.

This is the picture below with an arrow pointing down. The arrow will turn blue, which means the image has been downloaded to your iPhone.

  • First you need to double clickOK, to allow InstaGet to access your photos (so the app can save photos).

Downloading with BatchSave on Android

1. Download BatchSave.

Open upGoogle play storeand then follow these steps:

  • Click the search bar.
  • Printbatchsave
  • Open upBatchSave for Instagram
  • Click onInstall
  • When prompted, tap Confirm.

2. Open BatchSave.

Click on Opento the right of the BatchSave image, or tap the BatchSave app icon in the Android apps menu.

3. Click SKIP.

It's in the lower left corner of the screen. This will skip the tutorial.

4. Log into Instagram.

Enter your username and password, then clickLogin with Instagram».

5. Click Search🔎

It's a magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen.

6. Click the Search Users text box.

It's at the top of the screen.

  • If you do not see this text box, first click on the "Users" in the top left corner.

7. Enter your username.

Enter the username of the account you want to download the image from, then clickSearch user»Below the text box.

8. Click on User Profile.

It should be the first result below the search bar. This opens the page for the desired user profile.

9. Select a photo.

Scroll down the account page until you find the photo you want to upload, then tap on it. The photo will open.

10. Click the Download arrow.

This is an arrow "down"located at the bottom of the lower-right corner of the photo. This will upload the photo to your Android smartphone. You can find photos in your photo gallery.
