Vasiliev remarried, apparently after the death of his first wife. With his second wife, he had 18 more children! Six sets of twins and 2 sets of triplets! It seems likely that his first wife and second wife were related to each other, and both had a hyperovulatory gene. Often it is possible to marry the only brother of a dead spouse.

In total, V. Vasiliev had 87 children from 35 births. Of these 87 children, only 3 died before reaching adolescence.
